Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Cloud) Swansea, Permanent - These roles are primarily located in Swansea with a possible option to work from Bristol or Swindon. Salary range: £37,428 - £60,649 depending on skills and experience Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Cloud) (SEO) £37,428 - £42,991 Lead Infrastructure Engineer (Cloud) (Grade 7) £49,835 - £60,649 These roles may also attract a DigiTec allowance of up to £15k depending on skills and experience. Join the DVLA as an Infrastructure Engineer (Cloud), and you'll help build world class digital services that pave the way for future business transformation. As an Infrastructure Engineer (Cloud), you'll lead in the technical implementation of small and medium software and infrastructure projects - including building and designing components, platforms and tools. You'll monitor technology and system performance, and will propose and implement improvements which will ensure service level requirements are met. You'll also contribute into large infrastructure changes and technical design, and you'll analyse and resolve service delivery issues. With strong Cloud expertise, ideally you'll have a solid understanding of the following: - Linux OS - Automation tooling (e.g. Puppet, Ansible, Jenkins or similar solutions) - Server virtualisation You'll also have experience of deploying and managing cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, and Azure) and experience of dealing with stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes. You'll be keen to share knowledge, help and advice with your team, but you'll look for ways to stay up-to-date on new products, tools and techniques. You'll work on your own initiative, and you'll develop and maintain good relationships with key stakeholders.
