Senior Infrastructure Engineer - Swansea - £40,000-£45,000 Benefits A leading insurance provider based in Swansea are looking to add a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to their diverse and growing team. The successful candidate will provide support and technical expertise in order to deliver and develop a stable and secure operational infrastructure service. The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will support the business in BAU, project delivery and R&D capacities, whilst collaborating with team members, departments and third parties where required. Responsibilities As the Senior Infrastructure Engineer, your duties will include, but won`t be limited to: - Building, maintaining, troubleshooting, upgrading and developing the Citrix, VMware and storage Infrastructure, as well as the application performance management system AppDynamics - Monitoring, responding and reporting on capacity management and infrastructure performance - Patching systems in line with departmental patching policy - Maintaining and troubleshooting the email management system MimeCast - Assisting with the upkeep and maintenance of corporate data centres, disaster recovery suites and local server rooms - Participating in on-call rotas to provide technical cover out of business hours - Participating in problem management and major incident management activities - Assisting the wider IT architecture and security teams to design secure, scalable and robust solutions Skills The successful Senior Infrastructure Engineer will be expected to be a Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate, or equivalent, will significant experience of working within a technical support team environment. You will have a deep understanding of infrastructure technologies and the ability to understand technical systems and effectively interface with other engineering teams and customers of all technical levels. From a more technical standpoint, your skillset will include experience with: - Windows Server Operating Systems, including IIS, DNS, DHCP and other key Microsoft server technologies - Active Directory, ideally including Trust and Migration experience, with expert Group Policy 2008/2012 exposure - VMWare ESX 4/5.5 farm architecture and management - Avaya IP telephony offerings - CentOS and Redhat Linux basic administration - Citrix XenApp 7.6 farm with XenDesktop - F5 Load Balancers, Cisco Nexus Switches, Cisco ASA Firewall and Clearswift Web proxies Benefits The client offers: - Attractive pension scheme - Private medical and healthcare insurance - Life assurance - Subsidised gym membership - Employee assistance programme - Childcare vouchers If you require any further information on the role, please contact Emily Gregory on [Phone number removed] or [Email address removed].
