Technical Trainer - About the job
Design and deliver professional, experiential Technical & Operational learning interventions across all disciplines, ensuring that learners remain engaged throughout and acquire the relevant level of knowledge to transfer to the workplace confidently and competently.

Working with staff as required to ensure appropriate level of communication and enable courses to be developed which meet specific staff/business needs
Provide on going assessment of new recruits to enable transfer of processes appropriate to business unit
Provide effective Coaching to trainees during programmes and discussions
Validate and evaluate all learning interventions, assessing the amount of learning transferred in relation to the skills and behavioural changes required to achieve the strategic needs of the organisation
Support a development service to employees through coaching, advice and training
Raise awareness and promote the need for a learning culture
Ensuring all interventions are blended and printed materials kept to a minimum
Identify current and future learning needs
Monitor and evaluate outcomes demonstrating Return on Investment/Engagement

Technical Trainer - Key characteristics
Comprehensive understanding of the learning cycle and preferred learning styles
Comprehensive working knowledge of business unit to enable transfer of knowledge through training courses and coaching
Competent in Microsoft office packages
Excellent ability to design and deliver interventions in multiple forms i.e e-learning, digital material, discussion forums
Ability to facilitate group and individual learning
Excellent time management skills
Ability to operate flexibly and adapt quickly to the changing needs of the business and learners whilst in the learning environment
Ability to adopt a professional approach to all employees and stakeholders
Confident, articulate and professional delivery of technical/Operational material
Innovative
Ability to research and apply creativity to learning interventions
Continuous improvement of existing programmes to encompass best practise and most modern techniques
