About the Role

You will be required to undertake all horticultural practices. These may include the carrying out of all types of cleansing and grounds maintenance duties such as street sweeping, litter picking, leaf clearance, grass mowing etc, as required. You will be expected to use (and achieve appropriate qualifications as required) a range of horticultural machinery. General caretaking duties such as shifting furniture and packages, litter picking and maintaining the general cleanliness of the University environment will also be an integral part of the role. You may be required to work flexibly inclusive of weekends and early mornings as required. You will required to travel between University locations using University vehicles as required. Flexibility to support any area of the department will be crucial in order to deliver an efficient, customer focused service.

With a willingness to take a hands on approach, you'll also be well-organised and able to work on your own initiative. Fundamentally, we're looking for an individual who is interested in delivering a great experience for our students, staff and visitors.

The Package

  • Full Time (37 hours per week), Permanent
  • £8.63 - £9.47 per hour / £16,654 - £18,263 per annum
